ENG. As Part of the FIAC, Contemporary art settles at the gates of the Marais.
Hosted in the Garage Amelot in Paris, the Mutatio exhibition brings together twenty international artists whose practice occupies the multiple fields of visual arts.
It offers a journey, where the works and installations developed by the artists, respond to the different metaphors aroused by this building. Located in the heart of Paris, the Garage Amelot has 7 levels spread over nearly 3000 m2.
A symbol of the industrial world of the post-war period, the Garage Amelot, owned by the company Renault for nearly 60 years, is a sanctuary. It is destined for an upcoming transformation.
It is this mutating space that Mutatio’s artists invest in an original way through a variety of visual art interventions: from painting to sculpture, including graphics, installation and video projection. Mutatio takes the Garage Amelot as a metaphor, that of a world that changes in depth: the transformation of the industrialism into a digital post industrial, the transformation of the city, the mutation of capitalism and genetics, political and climatic change.... As well as the mutation of artistic practices.
Precursory of a societal transformation by the forms they propose, by their apprehension of everyday life and the cosmos as a thinking, the artists presented in Mutatio are holders of the regeneration of our world of today.

FRA.
