ENG. For his solo show at the Valérie Delaunay gallery, Valentin van der Meulen has chosen to build his exhibition of 9 large charcoal and black stone drawings from 3 images.
    By creating images from an image as « shot series » composed by 5 same size drawings offering a fragmented vision of decontextualized details ; Or by showing a drawing partially erased in situ, Valentin plays with the story of images to allow the visitor an intimate and personal reading.


FRA. Pour cette exposition personnelle à la galerie Valérie Delaunay, Valentin van der Meulen a choisit de construire son exposition regroupant 9 grands dessins au fusain et à la pierre noire à partir de 3 images.
    En créant des images à partir d’une image comme dans la série « shot » composée de 5 dessins de format identique offrant une vision morcelée de détails décontextualisés ; Ou en offrant au spectateur la vision incomplète d’un dessin en partie effacé in-situ, Valentin se joue du récit des images afin de permettre au visiteur une lecture intime et personnelle.
